Finally! Something about sports that speaks my language! I’ve been a long time Super Bowl fan. Yet… it may not be for the same reason that 99% of the world gets excited for the Super Bowl. Who won last year’s game? Umm…. Who played in last year’s game? Double umm… But who performed at last year’s game? BEYONCE!! See… the thing is, I’ve always been more of a halftime performer, epic commercials, and occasional power outage kinda Super Bowl girl. Therefore, the sports never really spoke my language. That is until Bloomingdales knew how to translate them over into something I could understand– fashion! This year the Super Bowl is hitting the streets of the famous concrete jungles Jay Z and Alicia Keys have made an anthem of and in honor of it, Bloomingdale’s has teamed up with the NFL and The Council of Fashion Designers of America (CFDA) to combine fashion and sports in a modern and chic week that only New York knows how to handle oh so well. Celebrating the partnership with an unveiling of a series of exclusive helmets last night at the Bloomingdales on 59th street in New York, all the greats from Badgley Mischka to Diane von Furstenburg to Kenneth Cole, Rag & Bone, and DKNY were involved. These 48 exclusive one-of-a-kind helmets will be auctioned off from January 15- February 4 here, so get your own piece of a fashionista Super Bowl while you can!
