Whenever I’m on the go, I want the most easy, most comfortable, and most convenient outfits to wear. And that especially goes with my shoes. This outfit was my go-to from this past weekend where I was doing everything from running around playing photographer for my blog to meeting up with friends to catch up. So especially in cases like these where I’m constantly moving, my feet are my #1 priority in being comfortable– and that’s where my new obsession brand BucketFeet came into the mix. Just last week celebrating the launch of their line being sold at Fred Segal, BucketFeet is slowly taking over the world. The line was created in 2011 when the two co-founders Aaron Firestein and Raaja Nemani met by chance in Argentina when they were both backpacking around the world. A beer, an interesting pair of hand-drawn shoes, and a conversation later, a partnership was born. What I love most about BucketFeet though (other than the comfort of their shoes) is the vision behind the brand to celebrate self-expression and connect people through art. From painters to graffiti artists to writers to illustrators to tattoists, BucketFeet taps into an array of different artists to create designs for the shoes, giving customers an original story and style to showcase. The goal of BucketFeet is to make those that are wearing the shoes stand out and inspire their own conversations and new connections which is what happened with me. What was just to be a simple on-the-go comfort outfit became a conversation starter everywhere I went, making me feel like I instantly became a part of the community passing along the messages of the artists and founders.
