Right now we’re in one of the most exciting times of this year– the World Cup! Yet, as I always say, with every great event comes great fashion responsibility. So while I’ve been uber excited about partaking in all the World Cup games (aka showing some support by being an attendee at a local bar setting), I’ve also been a ball of stress about trying to figure out what to wear. What I love about things like holidays such as Halloween or sport events such as the World Cup is that you get to dress up in crazy and cute outfits to show your spirit. Yet once that day and event passes by, you’ll never re-wear whatever you purchased ever again. So what I was struggling with for my World Cup ensemble was finding something that would a) be cute, and b) be something that I could convince myself to purchase that I would be able to re-wear in another lifetime. As I was sifting through my closet and stores literally trying to find the perfect Team USA outfit, it hit me, why not put something together that I could wear for any game, any team (if USA god forbid doesn’t make it all the way through), and for any future happening? That’s how I came about pulling this Nasty Gal World Cup inspired outfit together– aka my avant-garde take on what a World Cup outfit really should be. When I first saw this epic crop top, I instantly thought referee and soo World Cup appropriate. And then my instant after thought process was that it was only clearly appropriate to pair this crop with a little bit of a high-waisted action in the form of these super cute and chic bell bottoms. The sandals were an immediate given right afterwards when moving onto the shoe game as it was clear that you needed to be in something comfy chic in a bar setting that you’ll probably end up in. And of course, last but not least, you have to have some sort of subtle American spirit in the air (and in your outfit) which is where this USA bangle comes perfectly into play to tie the whole look together. I don’t know about you, but after putting this ensemble together, I feel wayyy more World Cup ready and excited. #leggo
