There are some people that inspire me with their clothes, some that inspire me with their charm, and others that inspire me with their words; then there are those that do all of the above. What I love most about my “inspirations” and why I love having a section devoted to them is that I get excited to highlight and introduce the world to all different kinds of amazing people that I come across. And that’s what you get with my inspiration today, Alex. This mint green jacket is not only the ultimate color to bring out the light and infectious excitement for the spring, but the jacket perfectly symbolizes Alex’s light and infectious personality. With his friendly and easy-going persona, this photo shoot became more of a talking shoot than one of taking pictures. So entranced with what Alex had to say, one can’t help but fall into the excited and joyous mentality that Alex exudes. Alex lives his life always looking at the glass half full, being grateful for what he has, and focusing on the little great wins in life instead of focusing on the big things that may be difficult to overcome. But what’s different about Alex and his way of life and thinking is that he doesn’t want to just keep it to himself, he wants to share it with others, really making it a point to add value to other people’s lives. An avid traveler and loving to always meet new people, Alex wears a watch with a map on his hand to remind himself that there’s a bigger world out there and more to life than just the one we’re living in. Expecting to focus a conversation around clothes and style and what’s hot or not for this season, I instead left feeling like I was inspired and learned something new about enriching my own life. With Alex, he reminded me that it’s not only one’s clothes that makes someone stylish or fashionable, but it’s also very much about one’s personality– and that’s an accessory that money can’t buy.
