When I think about the perfect LA Summer, I instantly think about going to one place in particular– the Hollywood Bowl. As an Angeleno (born and raised), I grew up with the Hollywood Bowl as my backyard. There’s just something magical about seeing some of your favorite musicians and artists outdoors, under the stars (and the Hollywood sign), in what I feel to be a close, intimate, yet fun arena. Last night 104.3 MYfm took part in creating the perfect summer moment by creating “MY Big Night Out” which was a concert at the Bowl consisting of some of your favorite singers. What I have loved about the MYfm radio station since day one is their ability to truly let all music lovers appreciate all of their favorite singers that other stations don’t necessarily give as much radio time to. From the populars like Demi Lovato and Ed Sheeran to the well-known yet not as much radio-loved in my books like Andy Grammer and Colbie Caillat, MYfm lets fans continually have radio moments with all of their favorites. And last night was no exception when they brought some of the best star-studded and talented musicians altogether under one roof… or bowl (to which none of them had ever played at before!). From Andy Grammer’s adorably delicious songs and stories about how he started off singing on the streets of the 3rd Street Promenade in Santa Monica, to Colbie Caillat’s soothing and stunning voice and melodies, to Nico and Vinz’s first time ever US performance to my all-time fave summer hit, to Demi Lovato’s fierce and empowering show and speech, and to ending out the night with everyone swooning over Mr. Ed Sheeran himself, the night was filled with so many great and special moments that I really did feel like last night was really MY big night out.
