FoodInspirationTeaching Motivation Monday: Control Posted on August 19, 2019January 11, 2021 Share 0 I don’t know about you, but I’m someone who NEEDS to have control in my life. I think it’s the Capricorn portion in me that needs a set defined structure and direction. So for me, the concept of being out of control of things is hard to grasp because if I am trying to make something happen—it just HAS to happen. Do any of you also feel that way ever? . I’ve done this with relationships that were just not working but I was determined to make them work and in previous jobs that I loved so much that one factor or another no longer worked as well. Or even currently now with my Instagram where none of my posts are showing up on anyone’s feeds (SHOW OUT ALGORITHM) and driving me nuts with trying to figure out ways on how to make this work. . I mean, I think it’s very important to TRY for the things you want and to attempt to make things work because not everything comes easily and things do take some time and efforts. With relationships, jobs, and maybe even Instagram (JK, NO ONE really has control of their Instagram!). . But what I have come to learn is that in all those situations that I tried SOOO hard to keep things in my control that truly was out of my hand, I’ve looked back and seen just how “FOR ME” those upsetting and disappointing moments were. . I truly believe that anything that is really out of your hands IS as the quote that I mentioned above teaching us…or maybe. forcing us—to let go. Because if things are out of our control I believe they truly weren’t meant for us and that instead, WAY better things are about to come. I’ve had this firsthand experience happen on multiple occasions so I can say this as—FACTS. . So for this #MondayMotivation, I want you to be optimistic. If there’s something in your life that’s making you frustrated, disappointed, or upset that just seems out of your control to fix, know that’s simply time to let go. And don’t look at it as a negative thing or like you’re surrendering or in defeat. Look to it as exciting as to what better is in store for you to come! XOXO
