Wedding Series: The Vintage Look

Posted on June 18, 2015December 14, 2020

It seems like everyone I’m talking to these days agrees with me on one thing for this summer– it’s officially wedding season. And have no fear, because I’m fully jumping in on this bandwagon, with 5 weddings to be exact! As I think I can safely say that I’ve definitely partaken in my good fair share of weddings within these past few years, I feel like I’ve become a type of expert on all things evening wear. And let me tell you, wedding dress shopping is not easy! You want the perfect dress, that is cute, fun, wearable, re-wearable, and most importantly, feels like you.  And on top of that, of course, you want it to be a dress that you don’t have to worry about 8 other girls showing up in. Thus, since it seems like everyone is always asking me on recommendations on where to shop for wedding dresses and looks that won’t break your bank account, I thought I’d take this season’s festivities (and this summer) to share with you some of my favorite dresses, styles, and brands to inspire your next wedding celebration.

Starting off my wedding series with this beautiful sequin number from BHLDN, I’ve always wanted to try out one of their dresses and have the perfect occasion to wear it to and this was just it! With an array of options and selections to choose from, this amaze dress instantly spoke to me the second I wore it, getting a pretty vintage type vibe. Adding my own little sequin hair piece to the look after an epic DryBar blowout to give it a little more flare (not that it needed it anyways), I really really loved this look and now I feel like I’ve set the bar high for myself to top the next weddings to come up.

But have no fear, challenge accepted, and I’m ready for game on!
