The day has finally arrived, Thanksgiving is here! This is one of my favorite holidays in the entire world and this week I was reflecting on why I love it as much as I do. I realized it’s not because we have days off of school and work or because there are so many sales going on we don’t know what to do with ourselves. I love Thanksgiving because it’s a time and tradition to get together with the people you love. It’s the time where my dad cooks his famous turkey (and the only time in the year that I’ll actually eat turkey), it’s a time where my cousins come over and we do our annual tradition of watching Home Alone 1 or 2, and it’s a time where I get together with my friends and eat a second round of meals and leftover pies. People always ask each other “What are you thankful for this year?” In a time where there is so much happening in the world, it truly takes me back to being thankful for the simple things. I’m thankful for the people that I have in my life who are always there and who always support me– my team, my cheerleaders, my family, my friends. These are the people who always believe in me, encourage me, and make me to be the person I am today and the better person I hope to be in the future.
The theme I was going for with my outfit was “Thanksgiving Fab”. I always love dressing up to the theme of holidays and I think this sweater, sequin skirt and knee highs fit in perfectly with this Day of Thanks.
