So thus when people ask me for advice about where one of my favorite places to go to here in Los Angeles is, I have always without a doubt said Westfield Century City’s mall. Because to me, this mall has been there for me throughout all my life– holding a special place in my heart as one of my go-to happy places. From elementary school field trips to the movies to hangouts on Saturday nights when I was a teenager and that’s where all the cool kids would go to now for happy hour drinks at places like Pink Taco after a hard’s day of work, I’ve been there with this mall throughout it all (and through every change and renovation so far).
But now, my happy place is taking another turn– for the absolute exciting and better– and getting an even more uplifted and epic makeover that I absolutely can’t wait for. Opening in phases beginning in late 2016, this updated renovation is going to include a new flagship Nordstorm, remodeled Bloomingdale’s and modern two-level Macy’s– along with an entirely new outdoor dining district including what I’m most excited about– EATALY! And as a part of this $800 million beautification, they’re also teaming up with one of my fave L.A.-based interior designers, Kelly Wearstler, to create the most perfect design and decor aesthetic for the mall that I just know will be amazingly beautiful.
And clearly doing renovations in true LA style, the mall currently has put up the cutest art installations that has been a must to see (and obviously take photos with) that I had sooo much fun playing and shooting with while I was there.
I can’t wait to see the final product!
