Skater Girls

My absolute favorite look for this fall/winter is the skater skirt (as I’ve learned they are called) and button down shirt combo. Black skirt, blue skirt, floral shirt, white shirt– there are literally endless possibilities of outfits and combinations. I’m so infatuated with this look right now that I think if I could wear different versions of it every day, I would be the happiest camper alive. When I was out with Brigitte (left) and Sara (right), it took me a few hours of us being together to even realize that they were both working the look. Right then and there, I had to instantly stop and capture the moment, wanting to show how they perfectly illustrated the epitome of this style. Why I like this combo so much right now is that it can look amazing on everyone. Whether your look is preppy or punky or hipster or country, you can put your own spin and tailor it to represent you, and that’s what Sara and Brigitte did. The fact that I didn’t even come to realize until a while on that they were both pulling off the same fabulous trend just comes to show how much they made the style their own. But let’s not forget probably the most important ingredient of them all– the necklace. The perfect finish to this super cute outfit is adding a show-stopping necklace to give it that little extra flare and individualized look (of course, mustache necklaces included).
