Getting Into The ‘Hue Year

I can’t believe 2016 is right around the corner, where did this year go?! I feel like it was literally yesterday that I was getting ready to ring in 2015 and wondering what this next year would hold. It’s crazy to think and see how much things can change within just a day, a week, a month, or a year. Looking back and reflecting on 2015, I can’t help but see how much my life has changed with the people I’ve met, the things I’ve done, and places I’ve been. Both personally and professionally, 2015 has been a whirlwind.

I think it’s safe to say that everyone feels a bit of anxiety when it comes to counting down the new year because it symbolizes new beginnings and leaving that question in the air for “what does the future hold?”. But the beautiful thing about the future is no matter how scary and uncertain it can and will be, that uncertainty and what comes of it unknowingly is what makes the beautiful things that happen throughout it that much more special. I couldn’t have foreseen some of the amazing things that happened within this past year, but being able to look back and now appreciate each of those moments for what they were has made them the gems that they are.

And of course with the fashionista in me, I obviously have to also think about the more immediate future and the most pressing question of all that has been lurking in my mind for the past few weeks… what am I going to wear on New Year’s Eve?! Going into a new year means you have to dress the part you want to reflect and emulate– meaning you want to start off 2016 already looking the cutest you can be. I always have a struggle of wanting to look cute but not freeze at the same time which ends up always being the case here in Los Angeles. So for this year’s New Year’s Eve inspired look, I decided to pull out a pair of fun HUE tights (which come in some many cool styles and patterns!) to make this amazing classic black number still trendy and cute without completely freezing myself off. And adding these sparkly shoes totally finalizes the look to give it that sooo New Year’s Eve touch.

With this perfect NYE look in place and new attitude I have about 2016, instead of heading to that big countdown to midnight scared and nervous this year, I’m going full-force excited and curious to see just what 2016 will bring. Because if it’s anything like 2015, it can only get better.
