Today’s post is another one of my great summer themed looks from when I went to Miami last week. One of my favorite and most successful times in shopping is not when I find the best sale or deal on an expensive item, but when I find the best item in the most unexpected places. Those are typically the times when I find a really cute sweater at a vintage store or find a top that’s somehow naturally super cheap. For those who have been following my posts, you’ll see that a lot of the clothes I wear come mainly from Forever 21, H&M, Urban Outfitters and Zara. I believe that you can look cute and be stylish without paying a lot of money for it, it’s all just a matter of how you own it. And these neon zig zag shorts were just that for me. The mall I typically go to to do all my serious shopping damage has a Wet Seal in it, but I never go into it. Wet Seal? Really? So not my style. Right? Wrong! What was supposed to be a quick pop in, pop out venture slowly turned into a casually roaming of the whole store, to then a full on stack of clothes in a dressing room that I wanted to try on including these shorts. I’m still not sure if it was just the neon zig zags that got me or if I had caught a Wet Seal shopping bug when I entered, but next thing I knew I was heading towards the cash register with at least four things to purchase. It just comes to show that sometimes you can find the cutest outfits in the places you would least expect. People get embarrassed to say where they got their clothes from sometimes if it’s not up to the likes of Chanel or at least a minimum, Bloomingdales. But I say it loud and proud because clearly if I bought the clothes, I must be loving it. And if people want to know where you got it from, they’re clearly loving it too. So next time, try to surprise people, because instead of them looking down on you and your choice of shopping locations, they’ll be impressed and kinda wish they found that super unbelievable deal themselves.
