FoodInspirationTeaching Monday Motivation: Graysie Posted on July 22, 2019January 11, 2021 Share 0 G • R • A • Y • S • I • E. 6+ years ago when I first entertained the idea of starting Fashionlaine, I went through a lot of back & forth of if I really wanted to willingly put myself in the public in such a big way—constantly taking pictures, writing vulnerable captions, & letting people around the world have a glimpse into my life. Cuz ironically enough for being such a “public person”, I’m rather more content with being quite private. . The one thing I said to myself that made me decide to do this though was “well if I can inspire just ONE person to feel a little more ok to be who they are by me being who I am (whether with outfit choices, career path decisions, or simple confidence in themselves)—then doing this will be worth it.”. . It’s crazy to think that from that one decision, I’ve been able to build something of people “following me” just for…being me. And as each & every one of you beautiful people are so special to me, I gotta say, there’s been one particular family, & girl, that’s truly made all of this a little more EXTRA special. . Around 2 years back mama Amber of @instaglambrosia started commenting on my Instagram posts, saying how much her daughter Graysie loves everything I wear & do— saying literally that “me being me, has helped Graysie to embrace her being her”. And ever since then, Amber, Gracie, & I have been social media pen pal besties. . From the tuning weekly into Fashionably Latte to sending me exclusive videos wishing me happy bday all the way from ALABAMA (the amazing power of social media right?!), as much as Amber & Graysie think that I’ve helped be an inspiration to them these past years, they’ve done that, if not more, for me; reminding & motivating ME that there’s a reason, & a little girl, for why I keep doing this—especiallyyy on the days I’d rather not. . While in my eyes, social media has both its positives & negatives— today’s post is a reminder of what good and special things can come out of this crazy web world we live in. And how you can touch and connect with people you don’t even know from MILES away! . TOMORROW is Graysie (& her twin brother Alex’s!) 7th Birthday {check out the posts below} so today’s #MondayMotivation post is dedicated to them and to wish them the HAPPIEST of BIRTHDAYS from LA to Alabama! 🎂💖🍭🦄✨🌈 XOXO
