Weddings– they’re so much fun. Pretty florals, cute dances down the aisle, fun crowds, and not to mention the best part, seeing the bride and groom beam with excitement as they walk towards each other to finally get married. This past weekend was an extra special wedding for me because it was one of my best friend’s sister’s that I’ve known forever. But other than the part of being beyond excited to see the wedding go down, I think every girl’s favorite part about being an attendee at one of these beautiful occasions is playing dress up.
Having a dress in mind and nothing else completely prepared, my wedding look was kind of created as I went along, getting inspiration on the go. I started off the day visiting my all-time favorite hair salon, Drybar, where I got the most epic curls I had seen in a while. Afterwards, I went to Bloomies where I got my makeup down by my all-time favorite makeup brand MAC (extra heavy on the smokey eyes and black eyeliner, of course). Completing the look with one of my all-time favorite brands, BCBGMaxazria, this red dress along with the golden curled locks and smokey coal eyes still felt like it was missing something. With the suggestion and inspiration from one of my besties, it was then evident what this outfit still didn’t have… a headband. While I used to fully believe that Blair Waldorf was the only one in the world that could pull off headbands at even the grandest of occasions (yes, shockingly I had never worn a headband to a wedding before), I roamed around the whole mall in hopes of finding the perfect one. Not really sure what I was looking for, but just knowing I hadn’t found it quite yet, I ended back where I started, where BCBG was finally the answer to my prayers. Putting the final touch with this jeweled diamond encrusted headband, one can’t help but feel like Cinderella for the evening.
