Anyone that knows me knows I love things with sayings. And on top of that, I love HEADBANDS with sayings. So when this little “Hater” piece came into my life, I was kinda fangirling like someone who has never seen a headband before. When I was trying to piece the perfect outfit together for this look, I came across this plaid dress that I’ve been waiting to wear for the perfect occasion. Then, within an instant, I became Taylor Swift inspired with my new short hair, the plaid dress, knee high socks, and the headband that was just screaming “Shake It Off” (haters gonna hate, right?). I wasn’t even originally planning to shoot a whole blog post piece for this look, but I absolutely loved the final combination of all of this together that I just knew that it couldn’t go unshot and unshared.
Dress: Princess Polly

July 21, 2015I think you look absolutely divine. I am a guy who feels knee socks are way under appreciated. I think you do them justice here. You know how to place them right; not too far over the knee as so many contemporary knee sock bearers do; and not much below either – just perfect. You wear them like the classic proper knee socks style apparent from the 1960s and 1970s. I must say that I still occasionally wear shorter shorts with knee socks myself ( the way many preppy and sporty guys of the 1970s and 1980s era did ) to keep my youthful feeling in tact. Your photographs on this site stimulates in me serious nostalgic feelings for my good old days with my ex-girlfriend who somehow resembles you and was a major fan of the knee sock look for both herself and on me as well.
