Over this short winter break, I took a little vaykay for a few days to get away from my layers of blankets, sweaters and heaters in freezing Los Angeles to switch it up in a change of scenery with beautiful and sunny Miami where half of my suitcase consisted of bathing suits and shorts. For those who have never been to Miami, it’s just as everyone expects it to be: palm trees, pools and never-ending beaches galore. In Miami, you can walk around in a cute bathing suit top and skirt and call it a day, and an outfit. And it was only appropriate for me to relive my summer days with one of my favorite neon bathing suits and of course, yet another of my many high-to-low skirts. What’s so great about these simple outfits is that you can just pair them with some cute accessories like a necklace and hat and throw in some wedges and they right away transform from a bathing suit and coverup to a full on upscaled outfit. Getting back into the groove of wearing 18 layers to keep warm in LA makes one really miss Miami.
