Mauve In The Winter

My favorite thing about simple dresses is that you can dress it up or dress it down. You can easily wear sandals and have a casual day or wear heels and a jacket with the same outfit and go out at night. I’m loving this mauve color, allowing it to fit in perfectly with whatever season we’re in (and the fact that it pretty much matched the color of my nails didn’t hurt either). And I love love this jacket with leather sleeves which I believe to be the perfect middle ground between a blazer and a leather jacket; it adds that little extra subtle umph and detail to the overall ensemble. Just like in Basic Blues, it doesn’t take a a lot to make a dress like this standout and look complete. A simple jacket, cute purse and matching heels is all you really need to look like a stunner through the day and night.
