Dressed Up Kicks

Sneaker Wedge I feel like sneakers have a certain stigma to them where people are stuck with a one-minded mentality and feel like there's only one or few ways they can be worn. But that's what I love about fashion-- the fact that you can open your eyes to endless possibilities and create combinations and outfits that were not thought about prior. Sneaker wedges have been all the rage for what seems like forever now, but I had never seen anything quite like these PUMA ones. The perfect combination between a sneaker and something that looks like you can wear on a night out, I consider these shoes to be my more dressed up sneakers of choice. Therefore, I felt like it was only suiting to pair it with a more dressed up outfit. With the perfect winter chic ensemble consisting of shiny white leggings, the perfect gray peplum top, and a headband (of course), this outfit shows that you can still be dressy while wearing sneakers.

Florals in Fall

Florals in Fall How does that old saying? You can take the seasons out of florals, but you can't take the florals out of seasons? Ok fine, I just made that up, but it's a pretty good saying that should be used more often. Either way, that's a saying that I've come to see that I use no matter what season we're in. Over the summer I was a floral headband loving machine, so I was a little sad to acknowledge the pink elephant in my headband drawer'd room where I was going to have to accept the day that would come where I wouldn't be able to wear a floral halo on my head in the fall and winter seasons. But atlas! The day has come. It's fall. And the floral headbands are still popping up in my ensembles. You see my friends, as my fave saying goes (...coined by myself again), "be what you want, wear what you want". And even though I was a little frightened to exit my house wearing today's floral headband wondering what others would think, I just followed my own saying and went for it. It's all about how you pair the entire look together which makes all the difference; so tying today's floral headband together with a turtle neck (crop top of course), cardigan, and the perfect shade of a long purple skirt-- you too see how easy it can be to wear florals in the fall.

Rainy Days

Rainy Day Outfit 1 The best part about LA is the supreme weather we are usually blessed with. It was practically like 100 degrees all summer long (aka perfect crop top weather) and it's already November and we're still able to make our way out the doors with a tshirt and maybe shorts sometimes. But while I probably wouldn't trade this weather for the world (because the second it gets a bit chilly I can't even stand being outside), I do miss the feelings of the different seasons and being able to enjoy a typical fall or winter (leaves, snow, and all). So that one day a few weeks back when it decided to rain for like 4 hours, I got so excited! Which actually is shocking to me because I don't like when it rains-- it's too difficult to maneuver around in with wardrobe and slushy shoes. But that day, I excitedly chose my rainy day outfit which included some tights and a beanie (of course), and grabbed the biggest umbrella I had lying around to do something every other fashionista would or did do... a photoshoot.
