Florals in Fall

Florals in Fall How does that old saying? You can take the seasons out of florals, but you can't take the florals out of seasons? Ok fine, I just made that up, but it's a pretty good saying that should be used more often. Either way, that's a saying that I've come to see that I use no matter what season we're in. Over the summer I was a floral headband loving machine, so I was a little sad to acknowledge the pink elephant in my headband drawer'd room where I was going to have to accept the day that would come where I wouldn't be able to wear a floral halo on my head in the fall and winter seasons. But atlas! The day has come. It's fall. And the floral headbands are still popping up in my ensembles. You see my friends, as my fave saying goes (...coined by myself again), "be what you want, wear what you want". And even though I was a little frightened to exit my house wearing today's floral headband wondering what others would think, I just followed my own saying and went for it. It's all about how you pair the entire look together which makes all the difference; so tying today's floral headband together with a turtle neck (crop top of course), cardigan, and the perfect shade of a long purple skirt-- you too see how easy it can be to wear florals in the fall.

It's A Tea Party

Many would be fortunate to find a group of friends, let alone one friend, to call their bestie. Your best friends are supposed to be the ones that are there for you through it all-- everything from the fun, new and exciting times and chapters in your life, to the difficult and challenging moments, to the inside jokes that you still talk about years later, and to everything in between (including when you're living miles or even continents apart from each other). Lucky for me, I think I may have found some of the best ones. And today's post is dedicated to one of them, Neeka, whose birthday it is today.

We spent this past Labor Day Weekend attempting to hide from the heat wave in floppy hats and simmer down with cool cups of wine and champagne in the form of cute tea cups to accumulate into Neeka's official Tea Party birthday bash. With a sea of neon, florals, crop tops, and long skirts taking over the whole outdoor patio that was transformed into the location of this beyond cute tea party, there was no more perfect way to ring in Labor Day and a new birthday year.

Blonde Hair Don't Care

It's that time of year where people are throwing out the old and coming with the new. I had a moment last weekend where I was freaking out that I didn't have any summer clothes (I know... a disaster!)  so I went on a mall tour of Los Angeles and pretty much bought out all of the Beverly Center... and then directly proceeded to Century Century where I then went ahead and bought out that whole mall as well. But while we're getting into a summer flurry and buying endless new attire, let's not forget about the other updates that should be made also... like our hair. Whether that be a new cut, hairstyle, parting your hair to the side instead of down the middle, or a new color, switching up the hair is a total necessity for the summer time. Last year was the first time I ombre'd my hair, super nervous to make the switch (practically holding my breath the whole time while the transformation went underway). But since then, I can't even imagine not being a wannabe blondie. Going back last week and reombre'ing the ombre as I like to call it, I was yet again fearful about the change, as I hate to make changes, especially to my appearance. Cutting my hair like half an inch (which to me still feels like 15 inches), letting the look sink in for a few, I feel like a whole new me, ready to now roll for the summer--which is just as important as any outfit you can buy.
