My Go-To European Travel Bag

Whenever I'm traveling, there are a few important pieces that come to mind for must-haves in terms of packing. Comfy shoes, chic clothes, and enough storage space on my cell phone to take all the photos I want from my trip to last for a lifetime. Yet, there's one other crucial component and packing essential that I always keep at the top of my mind as a necessity for what to pack and need to take with-- my travel bag for all my adventures.

Especially now that I am a blogger and have to pack up on extra things on the daily like my big DSLR camera and a huge battery pack to charge my phone with throughout the day, I need a bag that can take on all I need to carry and more. Therefore, when I was getting ready to jetset on my European travels these past two weeks, I was super excited that I was able to find an accessories brand that checked off all of my travel bag requirements-- Patricia Nash. If you saw all of my Instagrams (@iamfashionlaine), both this backpack featured in today's post along with the crossbody purse were the two bags I had with me at all times throughout my trip. Not only were they big enough to hold all I needed to carry and more, but the quality of the leather was perfect to stand the test of time against any weather that hit my way on this trip.

See my European Haul video here for a full breakdown of what I packed if you haven't already!

Spring In My Step

If there are two things that I love the most in this world-- it's Spring and comfortable shoes. So when I get to put those two together into one-- I think it's safe to say that I'm a beyond happy camper. For us Angelenos, Spring is completely lurking up upon us! Minus the off days of random torrential downpour we've been having here and there, LA has been filled with rays of sunshine-- making me inch and yearn for everything colorful and Spring, especially in my wardrobe. Since I'm always on the go (if you follow me on snapchat @iamfashionlaine you see how I'm seriously running errands all over the place everyday), the most essential factor in my #OutfitOfTheDay are the shoes that I'm wearing. And not only have I fallen instantly in love with these Ecco shoes because of how comfortable they are, but the bright blue color of the sneakers automatically played to the beat of my colored heart-- making every outfit I wear that much more fun. What I love most about today's outfit though is that it's one of those looks that can easily be transferred over from day to night without you getting tired of it or your feet being over it in pain (I mean, the sneaker trend with dressed up clothes has become all the rage right?!).

Top Knots and Tie Dresses

Top Knots & Tie Dresses-- my two favorite Ts! Two weeks ago I was heading to an event in Downtown LA at one of the most happening (and delicious!) restaurants there is down there, Bestia. So being that it was so freakin' hot that day and I knew I was going to be in Downtown a little earlier to walk around and take some photos, I wanted to dress in something both chic but comfy. So that's how I came about deciding on doing this pretty striped maxi look. The material of this Tart number is so smooth and soft that it was effortless and beyond comfortable to be in it for the rest of the night. And I love how from the front, it looked covered and standard, yet when you turned around from the back, it was as if it was a totally different dress with the tied strings and open back. For my hair, I decided to go with the top knot look which is either a favorite or hated amongst my closest family and friends. Yet, if you follow my YouTube videos, you saw the one I did one on short hairstyles and I totally brought top knot look back then too! Aka for me, top knots and tie dresses are two T musts!
