Discovering LA

downtown los angeles graffiti There are so many parts to Los Angeles that many don't even go out to venture and discover. I've been to Downtown Los Angeles a million times, yet it seems like whenever I'm there, I typically go and stick to where I know. A few weeks ago I went with my friend (and dual amazing photog Carmen-Rosa) to the Art District of Downtown and was immediately taken aback by its beauty, uniqueness, and grace. Everywhere you would turn was filled with one after another of beautifully decorated graffiti walls or ones that were in progress as we walked by. It really made me to stop and think about how there's so much to this world (and to LA) that's undiscovered, unnoticed, and not taken advantage of. And that day, I felt like I discovered a little new part of LA that has now officially given me a thirst for wanting to see what else is out there.

Anything Could Happen

Anything Could Happen Driving around LA, you see a little of pretty cool stuff--  buildings, architecture, restaurants, and graffiti. So when I saw this Ellie Goulding painting/ mural on the side of a store, I just knew I had to make a stop and take shots of today's outfit in front of it. Wearing one of my all time fave outfits I conjured up-- a vintage dress that I turned into a romper-- along with some super cute red buckle booties that have a Chloe feel to them, today's outfit was easy and breezy. Talking to some friends recently, we've all been reminiscing on the more simpler times of high school and college when life wasn't so serious and we weren't too much of the "big kids" just yet. Now currently in this weird phase and transition going from carefree youth to serious business adult, many are feeling the pressure of the future, having anxiety about not knowing what it can hold. But there's always two ways to look at everything. And instead of worrying about the unknown, one can look to it as something exciting because there are endless great possibilities.  And as the wise Ellie Goulding says (and as every radio station one to another blasts on repeat)-- anything could happen.

A Million Faces

What I love about having a fashion blog and sharing my outfits with you guys is being able to show off the different crazy combos that I come up with. If someone every told you that they could make a purple and mint bird romper work with studded sneaker wedges and knee high socks rolled down to ankle length would you ever believe them? I wouldn't either. Yet somehow... it kinda crazily works. My outfits and style are always super diverse. I love going from everything from the ultimate boho hipster with long skirts and floppy hats to channeling my inner hood with beanies, Jordans and thick gold chains. Yet through it all, no matter which way I work my look, I believe that my outfits always define my same cohesive style and taste. So it's suiting that the backdrop of this wall is of a million faces, because I feel like it's symbolical of me and my style. Whether I'm a swagged out mama with my studded mint green sneaks and sunnies or being one with the wild in floral headbands and crop tops, I'm always me.
