Nutcracker Series: The Land of Snow

Photography / Makeup: Madison Dizon

[SCENE 3]: The Nutcracker raised his sword and slayed the Mouse Queen. And then as he turned to face Lainey, he was no longer a doll, but suddenly a Prince. “Come!” said the Prince, “my kingdom is near.” So their journey began and Lainey now found herself suddenly walking through a magical Land of Snow filled with silver trees covered with crystals that looked like sparking diamonds— all while snowflake fairies danced overhead.

For today's snowflake fairy inspired look, I naturally had to go with an all-white style (because who said you can't wear white after Labor Day, right?). The pattern on this Black Halo dress I thought perfectly captured the "snowflake" essence, and I mean, come on...those shoes?!--how much more perfect could they get! Adding one of my favorite headbands from Wren+ Glory to the mix to make me look (and feel) even more magical, of course the final touch to bring this all together had to do with the makeup. I wanted to go blue on the eyes to finalize that overall icy vibe, and adding this blue glitter as the final touch made it so perfect!

Check out Scenes 1 and 2 of the series below if you haven't already! Lainey's next adventures to Scene 4 will be coming at you on Monday--and let me just say... it's delicious!
