I always joke that I’m probably the most enthused non Christian person about Christmas. The Grinch says it best at the very end of the movie when he goes “Maybe Christmas, he thought, doesn’t come from a store. Maybe Christmas, perhaps, means a little bit more.” And to me, that’s what Christmas and the holidays are all about. It symbolizes love, bonding, and stopping to spend time with the people that are closest to you in your life. But of course in addition to that, who doesn’t love the feeling of holiday music, a good well decorated Christmas tree, and delicious Gingerbread Lattes to keep the holidays going?
Ever since last year I’ve had this vision of wanting to recreate some of my favorite Christmas stories– Fashionlaine style. What I love about my blog is having the opportunity to be creative and run with my imagination and visions that are not your typical “fashion blog post”. Yet, with every vision takes the perfect brand to make this whole thing come together, and thus it was a clear match made in heaven to be able to team up with Monique Lhuillier and their Spring Summer 2015 collection to bring this vision into reality. So excited that I get to finally do this and be able to share the vision of I’ve a year in the making with all of you, for the next four days I’m going to be recreating some of mine (and probably your) favorite Christmas movies with Day 1 (naturally) needing to be kicked off with me as Cindy Lou Who and my little doggie Teddie as the little Grinch in honor of– How The Grinch Stole Christmas.
Merry Christmaslaine!
